This is a great tool for trouble-shooting electrical problems in a car. I have used it on my Mazda 6 and one of my kids cars. Once you get a good foundation for understanding how to efficiently use these tools they save you from hours of frustration with just a multimeter. The videos and PDF files that accompany these tools are done in way that make it easy to understand how to efficiently use the tools. They try to show a typical situation in a real world environment. My mindset for justifying the cost is to ask yourself the question of "How much is your time worth". It may pay for itself the first time you use it. They have videos at their site,
Hello. I do alot of electrical work on cars and I am used to using a test meter and tast light to troubleshoot. I wanted something different and easier to use. So I tried the Power Probe III Master Combo Kit. After I received the kit I tried it on a car I had to repair some wiring from a previous installation that someone else did. It would have taken me a day or two find all of the issues. In just 5 hours I had all of the wiring issues fixed and I am very much impressed on how quick and easy the tool was to use. It made that job very easy and quick for me. I would buy this again if I had to. For me and the work I do it is very useful and now it is hard to do with out it. Now I am trying to find even more ways to use it. I can say that it paid for it self the first day I used it. I can go on and on about it but: If you need an all in one diagnostic tool this may be the one for you! I hope it is, and you are as happy as I am about your investment!
Makes it very easy diagnosing elec. problems, being able to see the voltage, add power or ground the whatever device you are working on is very nice. The cords have more than enough length to get around from one end of the truck to the other, plus they come with adapters for cig. lighter and battery.
